Agreement reached with Tottenham midfielder and now it’s definitely time to move

Tottenham fans in the Transfer Tavern are buzzing with the latest news coming out of the club as the futures of two promising youngsters were secured.

Spurs recently announced that Harry Winks has signed a new five-year contract with the club which will expire in the summer of 2023. Defender, Cameron Carter-Vicks, has also penned a new deal until 2021. This comes after the news both Davidson Sanchez and Kyle Walker-Peters extended their stays with the club.

Winks has had the biggest impact on the first-team, making 16 Premier League appearances under Mauricio Pochettino last season. An injury cut his season short as he was starting to develop into a key player for the Lilywhites with an outside chance of making the England squad.

With Tottenham expected to strengthen their squad heavily in the summer, Winks could fall down the pecking order if new midfielders arrive. To fulfil his potential, the 22-year-old needs to be playing regular first-team football meaning a loan move could the best move.

Wolves recently lifted the Championship trophy following a stunning season and are on the lookout for players to keep them in the Premier League next year. They could lose Ruben Neves to Liverpool and Winks would be the ideal replacement.

Another potential destination is Cardiff City who also earned automatic promotion to the Premier League. Neil Warnock will lose Marko Grujic whose loan expires and would love to have a player of Winks’ quality to help save the Bluebirds from relegation.
