Ajax boss open to taking Swansea City post

de BoerThe Swansea City fans in The Transfer Tavern are gathered around the jukebox discussing comments made by the current head coach of Ajax.

The Daily Star is reporting that Frank De Boer is open to a move to the Premier League when his contract expires with the Dutch side at the end of the current campaign and that Swansea City are one of the club’s that interests him.

The 45 year old has been in charge of Ajax since 2010 and has led them to four championship wins during his tenure at the club, but reports suggest that he will leave the club during the summer.

Speaking about his future and Swansea City, De Boer said:

“First you have to see what the plan is at a club and what I and the people I would take with me could add to it. The last club I was linked with was Swansea City, I have had no contact with them at this time.”

“But what if these people paint me a pretty picture that they are in that category of clubs with which I could do something beautiful? Those are the sort of clubs with which you would want to work. But the most important thing would be the feeling I get.”

If the Welsh side do decide that De Boer is the man for them, it would see Alan Curtis remain in charge of the club until the end of the season.

The Swansea City fans in The Transfer Tavern are delighted to be mentioned in such a high regard by a top class manager and hope to see De Boer in charge of the club come next season.
