Liverpool will be hoping to go one better in the Champions League this season after suffering from the heartbreak of defeat in the last campaign.
The Reds have been unstoppable so far this season as they still remain unbeaten and are in a good position to challenge for the Premier League title. And, to make things even better, the Reds received a boost on the injury front recently, as according to the Sky Sports’ Nations League podcast (via the Daily Star), Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain insists his rehabilitation is going well.
The midfielder is set to be sidelined for the whole of this season after damaging every major ligament in his right knee.
But, he did offer an update after England’s Nations League match against Spain.
“But I’m making progress and I’m trying to stay positive, that’s the sort of character that I am and I’m feeling that is the best way to move things forward so I am in good spirits and I’m progressing for sure.”
Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain played a huge part in the last campaign and would have had an even bigger impact this season.
However, it’s good to see that the Englishman is progressing and that rehabilitation is going well as he has a lot to offer both domestically and on the international stage.
Liverpool will now be focused on extending their unbeaten streak and challenging for the Premier League title, with Chamberlain’s update being a boost on the side of things.
