Everton fans in the Transfer Tavern will be wanting their side to strengthen in the summer as they look to bounce back from a disappointing campaign.
The Toffees have had a difficult season, with the side near the bottom half of the table for much of the year having spent a huge amount of money in the previous transfer windows. Sam Allardyce was also brought in once Ronald Koeman was shown the door, although his future still remains in doubt.
The current boss, however, has told Luke Garbutt that he no longer has a future at Goodison Park and has told him to look for a new club, according to the Sun. The newspaper claims the defender, who still has two years left on his current deal, appears to be out of favour and Big Sam has made it clear he does not feature in his plans.
“He’s had a difficult time here and, personally, Luke Garbutt’s future is elsewhere,” he told the Sun.
“I don’t think there is any doubt about that, based on what we’ve seen that he needs to be looking to move away from the football club and resurrect his career somewhere else because it’s not only for me who hasn’t played him, it’s Ronald and, at the back end, Roberto.”
The Everton fans in the Tavern will be disappointed to hear that the 24-year-old no longer has a future at Goodison Park, despite being highly-rated, and will hope he can reach his potential for another club.
