Liverpool returned to pre-season training today, and it’s fair to say that the next few weeks will be very exciting for the club. Fans have a few new faces to keep their eyes on, whilst everyone will also be looking to see if the club can maintain their level of form that saw their campaign end with a bang last time out.
However, whilst the Reds are linking up once more, not everyone will be back at Anfield for a while. Some are still away in Russia for the World Cup, but that doesn’t mean that fans aren’t watching them play.
Indeed, it seems as though many Liverpool fans were watching striker Roberto Firmino on Monday, with his Brazil team taking on Mexico in the World Cup.
Unfortunately for them, they had to wait a while to see their man, but he made a significant impact when he did appear. Coming on as a sub in the closing stages, it was Firmino who put the game beyond doubt – picking up a quick goal to seal the win for the South American outfit.
Liverpool supporters were quick to react to the news on Twitter, with many heaping praise upon him for his instant impact.
Take a look at what they’ve had to say below…
Did #Firmino sign the lifetime contract or not?!?!

Firmino hasn’t broke a sweat yet and got a goal. Like 2 min after sub. #LFC
