Everton made a number of impressive signings in the summer as Marco Silva looks to finally take them back into European competition.
The likes of Yerry Mina, Bernard, Richarlison and Lucas Digne all joined the club on permanent deals and the majority of them appear to have settled rather quickly to life at Goodison Park.
Kurt Zouma and Andre Gomes both arrived on temporary deals, with both having started brightly as well.
However, naturally, there is already talk about the long-term future of those, in particular, with regards to the Portugal international who joined from Barcelona.
“We need to discuss that at the end of the season of course with Everton, with Barcelona and see if Everton are happy with me. That is really important,” he said.
“But I’m enjoying it here with my new team-mates, with the team, with the fans and with the staff. I’m really happy right now and I want to keep it like that until the end of the season and give my best. Then at the end of the season we will decide.”
Gomes has only managed to play in two matches for Everton so far, however, he has looked a great addition to the team.
The £13.5million-rated midfielder, as per Transfermarkt, is not expected to remain at Barcelona, having failed to reach the heights expected of him at the Nou Camp, so in theory, the Toffees may be able to get a deal done for him.
However, it is too early for any decision to be made on the 25-year-old, as things may not plan out as well as everybody hopes, so it is no surprise that a decision may not be made until the end of the season regarding his future.
