Andriy Yarmolenko could make West Ham return earlier than expected

It is no secret that West Ham United have had to deal with a number of lengthy injury concerns over the course of this season.

Manuel Pellegrini has seen his side hit hard when it comes to players having to spend time on the sidelines and in the treatment room, with the likes of Carlos Sanchez, Winston Reid, Manuel Lanzini and Jack Wilshere all missing significant parts of the campaign.

However, it appears the Irons could be able to call upon Andriy Yarmolenko at some point before the season comes to an end.

According to reliable insider ExWHUemployee, who was speaking on ‘The West Ham Way’ radio show, the Ukraine international could be available for the final month of the campaign.

Yarmolenko, who joined from Borussia Dortmund in the summer, injured his Achilles tendon in the defeat against Tottenham Hotspur back in October and was originally expected to potentially make a return for the final two matches, at a push.

The Verdict:

The news that Yarmolenko could be available for West Ham in the final month of the season could come as a potentially huge boost for the club.

The 29-year-old had started to find his feet at the London Stadium and had started to make a positive impact on the team with his performances.

With the likes of Lanzini also set to come back before the end of the season – with his return imminent – the final month of the Premier League campaign could be interesting for The Hammers.
