West Ham United have had their fair share of injury concerns already this season, however, it appears they could be handed some positive news.
Manuel Pellegrini’s side have seen the likes of Manuel Lanzini and Winston Reid go down with long-term concerns, whilst Andy Carroll was also on that list for a while.
Carroll, who has been no stranger to the treatment room during his time at the London Stadium outfit, is thought to have been making a remarkable recovery from the ankle injury he sustained and required surgery on.
“Everything is going well with Andy and we expect him to be available for the game if selected. He has been training well and there have been no further setbacks,” they said.
Carroll’s imminent return will be great news to West Ham and Pellegrini.
The striker being available for the Hammers would provide them with an added boost, and another attacking option, something they appear to have lacked at times going forward.
However, the frontman’s injury record is one that speaks for itself and the 29-year-old should be looking to get a number of games under his belt first and foremost.
