Indeed, the 24-year-old has three years still to run on the deal he signed 13 months ago.
But, Jurgen Klopp and Anfield’s technical staff have moved to extend his stay on Merseyside already with plans to almost doubles his wages.
Robertson’s proposed new deal will see him pocket more £60,000 a week.
So, it looks as if the Scotsman is getting just reward for his efforts in the red shirt as Liverpool look set to almost double his wages at Anfield.
The left-back has been phenomenal since he joined the club and has now established himself as one of the rising stars in English football, so it comes as no surprise that Liverpool have extended his stay.
Indeed, this just goes to show that Jurgen Klopp knows what he’s talking about when it comes down to signings in the transfer window, with Andy Robertson being another one of his masterstrokes.
