‘Announce Salah’ – Fans urge Barcelona to make second Liverpool transfer swoop after Coutinho post

The Liverpool fans in the Transfer Tavern were disappointed to see Philippe Coutinho leave the club earlier this week.

Following one of the most lengthy transfer sagas in recent memory, Coutinho finally made his long awaited switch from Merseyside to Catalonia on Monday in a deal worth a staggering £146 million. Coutinho’s future has regularly been the subject of discussion in the media throughout the season so far, and it seemed the Brazilian would inevitably make the switch at some point.

Although the resident Kopites propping up the bar in the tavern are saddened by his departure, they are relieved that the saga has finally reached its conclusion.

Following his move to Barcelona, Coutinho became the 8th player in history to play for both the English and Spanish heavyweights.

This information was revealed by Barcelona’s official Twitter page yesterday.

Judging by the reaction on Twitter, it seems that fans of the Catalan giants don’t want their club to finish their January raid on Liverpool just yet, as they have pleaded with the club to make a bid for Mo Salah this month.

Considering how quickly Salah has adapted to, and thrived within the Premier League, it is easy to understand why the Barca fans have taken a shine to the Egyptian.

Here’s how the supporters reacted to Barcelona’s club post…
