According to the London Evening Standard, its players leaving rather than players arriving at White Hart Lane after Hull City opened talks with the club.
Apparently the Tigers have launched a £4 million deal for Lilywhites captain Michael Dawson and are hopeful of securing a deal after they of course signed Spurs’ Jake Livermore on a permanent deal yesterday.
The North London club are prepared to listen to offers for Dawson this summer with the 30-year old defender entering the final year of his contract.
They are set to sell him this summer rather than risking his loss on a free transfer next summer and the Tigers look most likely to pounce.
Dawson has been at the club almost a decade having signed from Nottingham Forest for £4 million in 2005 but his role is in jeopardy with new Spurs boss Mauricio Pochettino looking to bring in defensive reinforcements, namely his former Southampton player Dejan Lovren.
