Anzhi Wants Chelsea’s £25M Rated Blue Boy To Add To Their Insane Collection

Russian big-spenders Anzhi Makhachkala are tracking a whole host of premiership players with the likes of Van Persie, Ashley Cole and Anelka on the Russian wish-list, where Lampard and Gerrard have been linked previously.

Roberto Carlos was Anzhi’s first major signing since Billionaire businessman Suleyman Kerimov took reign. Since then ex Chelsea player Yuri Zhirkov and Samuel Eto’o have joined the mega spending club.

According to player-coach Roberto Carlos ‘there are four more big names on the wish-list’.

With Van Persie’s contract expiring in two years and yet to sign a new deal, he has continuously stated his fustration over the club’s ambition. Could the Russian project be ambitious enough for him?  This was a team that no-one had even heard of two years ago but since the arrivals of some key names, the Russian club keep on surprising.

Van Persie is not the type of player you would associate to be a money-grabber, but if you were paid huge amounts of money it could tempt anyone. Who would have thought Samuel Eto’o would stoop so low.

Another target that has emerged is Ashley Cole, whose contract expires next season. It has been reported by ‘The Sun’ that Cole is set to be paid £200k a week from Anzhi and could be Carlos’s predecessor after the 38-year-old announced his retirement at the end of the year. Someone like Cole could be tempted by the devil itself with a possible 4 year contract on the tables.

Nene from PSG and Brazilian wonderkid Neymar are also being monitored. “I talked to him. If Real, Barca or Manchester United cannot pay the transfer fee, Suleyman Kerimov can offer what he wants” added the Brazilian.

Carlos finished off by saying, “We want to make a club the calibre of Real or Barca. We are already the best team in Russia.”
