For Middlesbrough, life really couldn't get any better, and you can tell their supporters in the Transfer Tavern are loving absolutely every minute of being back in the Premier League.

Despite some predictions from our punters suggesting Boro will face the drop this season, there are plenty who believe the Reds have what it takes to do well in the division this season.

And with their status in the top-flight well and truly confirmed, we want to go into the vault to celebrate some of the best strikes ever scored by players wearing the red of Boro.

We're talking the absolute humdingers of English football - the goals that reduce grown men to tears and that see youngsters fall in love with the beautiful game for the first time.

And trust us, when it comes to Middlesbrough, there are plenty to choose from.

So sit back, relax and enjoy the memories as Transfer Tavern author Hayden Atkins takes us through three of the best goals in Middlesbrough's history...

3) Luke Young

It was boyhood Spurs fan Luke Young who comes in third in our list with this absolute piledriver for Boro in a league game against Tottenham Hotspur back in 2007.

It was Juande Ramos' first game in charge of Spurs and he'd have wanted to have begun with a win but former Charlton full-back Luke Young was having none of it.

Taking the ball on the right hand side, he sends a first-time effort right into the top corner, about as far away from Paul Robinson as he could have got.

Fantastic goal.

2) Jimmy Floyd Hasselbaink

The goal really does speak for itself and if you were a Boro fan in the away end at the City of Manchester Stadium that day, you knew you'd seen something extremely special.

The game dates back to 2005 and it was Hasselbaink's 23rd minute strike that has been dubbed as one of the best free-kicks in history.

The match finished 1-1, with Mark Schwarzer saving a last-minute penalty to send Boro into the UEFA Cup.

1. Middlesbrough V Steaua

Our number one pick goes to all four goals Middlesbrough scored in their famous 4-2 win over Steaua Bucharest in the 2006 UEFA Cup semi final. 2-0 down after 23 minutes- all hope looked lost.

But the Boro pulled together and thanks to one of the greatest pieces of commentary ever recorded by Ali Brownlee, these four goals (take your pick of the best) win our title of the best strike(s) in Middlesbrough's history.

"MARK VIDUKA SCORES A POWERFUL, POWERFUL, POWERFUL HEADER!" "THE BORO HAVE SCORED, THE BORO HAVE SCORED, THE BORO HAVE SCOREDDDDDDDDDDDDDD!"
