Liverpool will be preparing for their Champions League first-leg encounter with Bayern Munich with the two sides set to meet at Anfield on Tuesday night.
Jurgen Klopp is putting his squad through their paces on a warm-weather training camp in Marbella as they take advantage of not playing this weekend.
And, it appears as though the Premier League outfit may have been handed some injury news from their Bundesliga counterparts that will help them put one foot into the next round of the competition.
The Dutch winger, once of Chelsea and Real Madrid, has been dealing with a thigh problem since November and has found it difficult to overcome.
The report is also believed to suggest that Robben will unlikely be available for the return leg as well, which is scheduled for a month’s time.
The news that Robben is unlikely to feature for Bayern Munich in their Champions League tie could be a potentially huge boost for Liverpool and Klopp’s side.
Admittedly, the Dutchman has been far from his best for some time, however, the 35-year-old still has the ability to cause defences problems when he is in top form.
Without him running down the flanks and cutting inside onto his favoured left foot, Liverpool will be able to focus on dealing with other problems the German giants can cause them.
