Chelsea’s investment in youth is set to continue after it emerged they were taking a look at Ajax’s young winger Lorenzo Ebecilio.
Manager Carlo Ancelotti is well aware of his ageing side and the need to invest in young talent. Linked with others such as Eden Hazard and Brazilian Ganso, Ebecilio is latest player under the blues radar.
The 19 year old has only recently entered the first team under manager Frank de Boer but is said to be held in high regard among the Ajax management. Manager de Boer will not want to lose another talent in the summer after the departure of Captain Luis Suarez so Chelsea will have a fight on their hands to secure the players signature.

Chelsea may want to wait till the player develops for a couple seasons before taking him to Stamford Bridge, allowing the player to mature. A first option agreement might be more favourable to ward off interest from other clubs.
This is quite a turn around for the youngster given his problems in the past. In October 2005 following the death of his father, the player suffered a heart attack, leading to a defibrillator to be surgically implanted. He was subsequently released from AZ due to further problems with his heart. However he has had no such issues since making the move to Ajax.
The player comes highly recommended from outgoing sporting director Frank Arnesen. The same man has recommended; Gael Kakuta, Jeffrey Bruma and John Obi Mikel. Chelsea fans will hope this latest talent can be just as promising.
