Arry Looking At £47M’s Worth Of Strikers – Surely The Answer’s In There Somewhere?

After seeing an inquiry for Newcastle’s Andy Carroll turned down, Tottenham are still in the hunt for a striker. This season their strikers have hardly set the world alight by scoring goals so Harry Redkapp has pinpointed this area as one to improve this transfer window.

Other players they have been linked with have either failed to impress of late or have been unavailable for transfer. Luis Suarez currently at Ajax, is a maybe but the move keeps stalling and questions have been raised over his ability to cope in the premier league.

Karim Benzema is another player who has caught the Spurs boss’ eye but yet again a transfer away from Madrid is not quite clear especially with the long-term injury to Gonzalo Higuain.

I have picked out my three players who I believe would make an impact up front and ones that Spurs fans would love to see grace the field of White Hart Lane. They are:

1: Luis Fabiano

An outstanding goal-scorer proven at international level for Brazil and also is a top striker in La Liga for Sevilla. He is very good playing in a partnership as well as playing the lone striker role. Fabiano has been linked with Tottenham in the past and I feel they should look to him once again; He will become a fans’ favourite instantly.

Estimated value: £20m

2: Hulk

He is a big strong striker filled with all the attributes available to become a good player in the premier League. He may not be a regular in his national team but I believe his style will suit the way Spurs play and if Redknapp opts to play with one striker and Van der Vaart supporting, then I feel they will work well together and Hulk will bag several goals along the way.

Estimated value: £12m

3: Diego Forlan

Has all the experience at the highest level and he can shange a game single handedly. Not the quickest player but his awareness and all round ability on the ball will serve him well. Yes he had a torrid time for Manchester United but he is now a complete player as to the one learning his trade. Forlan won the player of the tournament award at the 2010 World Cup and he is a talismanic striker definately worth a transfer.

Estimated value: £15m
