It looks now as if David Beckham will make his return to the Premiership and it’s of course, Harry Redknapp and Spurs who have been linked with old Goldenballs. Except this time, it seems like Beckham could actually move to White Hart Lane, in January for a short period at least.
Beckham, known to like the odd loan deal with a major European club, has this time elected to join Spurs, with the allure of Champions League football and even the prospect of playing against his former employers at the San Siro.
Reports emerging from London suggest that having previously turned down Everton and Leicester, Beckham couldn’t really resist the chance to play on Europe’s biggest stage again. And could he resist the chance to help fire Spurs to a repeat league performance and a Champions League placing again? Or even the title?
He’s a London boy and has close ties to Spurs, but what does this mean for the likes of Aaron Lennon, David Bentley and Niko Kranjcar? As ‘Arry wheels and deals again, this could be his greatest acquisition yet.
