Arsenal ace reveals expectation that 22-year-old will be at Arsenal next season, fans will be happy

The Arsenal fans in the Transfer Tavern are growing increasingly concerned about the future of Hector Bellerin…

The Spaniard has been touted with a move to Barcelona in recent weeks, leaving many in the pub very worried indeed. The Spaniard came through the La Masia academy at the Nou Camp prior to his move to Arsenal, and so his links to the Catalan club are clear.

However, in a statement that will come as good news to the Arsenal faithful, Gunners defender Nacho Monreal has revealed where he thinks Bellerin will be next season. According to Mundo Deportivo, he said: “He’s an Arsenal player today and…almost certainly will continue with us [next season]”.

Monreal appears confident about the matter, and this has certainly served to calm the nerves of the Arsenal fans in the Transfer Tavern.

Of course, Bellerin is arguably one of the Premier League’s best defenders, having really made a name for himself at the Emirates. Offering attacking progress down the right-hand side, his electric pace often makes him impossible to deal with.

Significantly, Arsenal failed to reach the promised land of the Champions League ahead of next season, having missed out on a top-four finish, and so the Gunners in the pub are concerned that they may be unable to sign or indeed hold on to any top players this summer as a result. Monreal clearly feels differently, though, and that will certainly give supporters confidence.
