Arsenal fans inside the Football Transfer Tavern are desperate to hear some news of potential names coming in to the club, but unfortunately sources at talkSPORT are only able to provide news on a possible departure.
German forward Lukas Podolski is reportedly attracting interest from Juventus – news he admits he feels ‘honoured’ about, although the former Bayern Munich man confirmed there has been no contact as of yet between Arsenal and any other club.
The Serie A champions already have a deal in place to bring Spanish striker Fernando Llorente to the club in the summer, and see Podolski as the perfect partner for the big striker.
The 27-year-old, who only joined Arsenal last summer from German club Cologne, has had a mixed debut season in the Premier League.
He has somewhat tailed off after a bright start, and has often voiced his displeasure at being played out wide saying he performs better playing as a central striker.
He has managed eight goals and nine assists in the Premier League, but has also found himself substituted in 19 of his 25 league appearances.
But despite the rumours, Podolski insists there has been no contact between Arsenal and any other club regarding his departure.
“I have not spoken with any club about my future. But I can say that the interest of clubs like Juventus is an honour for me,” he is quoted as saying on Calciomercatonews.com.
