Arsenal ace set to potentially reject new deal amid PL interest

Bad news for the Arsenal fans in the Football Transfer Tavern…

Amongst the furor of a fantastic Premier League start for the Arsenal fans in the Football Transfer Tavern – there has been one niggling concern on their face.

Hector Bellerin’s contract situation has been well documented in the Tavern in recent weeks, and despite the fact that the Spaniard has three years left on his current deal – the Arsenal fans in attendance have been sweating on his long-term Gunners future.

Manchester City and Barcelona have reportedly been circling, which has given the Arsenal fans cause for concern.

Now, it would appear that their concerns have been vindicated – with bad news seemingly on the horizon.

As per the Times, Bellerin could reject the offer of a new deal from Arsenal in favour of a Manchester City switch.

Bellerin, who once turned out for Barcelona, rose through the ranks under Guardiola – and the Spaniard is seemingly seeking a reunion.

Whilst the Arsenal fans are devastated about the news, the Man City fans in the Tavern are delighted.

For all of Manchester City’s strengths – their biggest weakness is, without doubt, their defensive full backs.

Players like Zabaleta and Clichy are good – but they are no longer the highest tier; and Bellerin is certainly of that upper calibre of player. ┬áHe could revolutionise the City defence.

Bellerin has been in outstanding form for Arsenal as of late, having displaced Debuchy on the right-hand side of the Arsenal defence.

Seemingly getting better each and every week, the Arsenal fans in the Tavern had hoped that Bellerin could man the right-hand side of the Gunners defence for the best part of a decade.

Whilst our landlord isn’t entirely convinced that the deal will go through; he is definitely concerned that Arsenal could miss out on their prized defensive asset.
