Big news for Manchester United and Arsenal supporters has arrived in the Football Transfer Tavern, courtesy of sources at The Express.
The publication claims that Juventus are hoping to sell Arturo Vidal to Manchester United in the hope of funding a shock move for Arsenal midfielder Jack Wilshere.
Reports in Italy suggest Juve has shown a genuine interest in Wilshere and have already made contact with the players representatives to sound out the England international about the prospect of a switch to Serie A.
Manchester United have been heavily linked with a £47 million move for Chilean World Cup star Vidal and Juventus would look to fund any move for Wilshere by allowing Vidal to make the switch to Old Trafford.
Arsene Wenger said last week that he believes Wilshere is in excellent physical condition following a series of injury troubles and is looking for the midfielder to produce big performances this season.
He said: “It is a big season for Jack.
“In the last three years for me, this is the best shape he has been over pre-season.
“He is prepared, he is rid of his ankle problems and if he can maintain that he will have a great season.
“But I agree, it’s a big season for him.”
But with the 22-year-old having suffered from a string of injuries and off-field controversies, it is possible the Gunners may consider selling their boy wonder for the right price.
