Arsenal fans are looking up with interest here in the Football Transfer Tavern as Metro seem to contain an update concerning the injury to Olivier Giroud.
As Arsenal fans know, their main man up top has been out for several weeks and is facing a long spell on the sidelines but it seems that his rehabilitation period is actually going better than expected.
Our resident Gooners agree that this is a good thing given the ever-growing injury list Wenger has to contend with!
When speaking as a pundit for beIN Sports, Wenger claimed: “Olivier Giroud is recovering very well. I believe he is ahead of schedule in terms of rehabilitation. The operation went perfectly.”
The Arsenal boss also elaborated on his thoughts about using Danny Welbeck and Giroud up front together and seems to have plenty of ideas about just how he can utilise them. He added: “Welbeck and [Giroud] can play together in the centre or separately,
“Welbeck also played on one side to Manchester United. Welbeck played in the same team with Rooney and van Persie. He can play down the sides.”
Arsenal fans. If you were playing Arsene Wenger and opted for a lone front man up top, who would you choose? Welbeck or Giroud? Let us know your thoughts below.
