The garden here at the Football Transfer Tavern has been rammed all day as you would expect, and news is making it’s way from table to table that plenty of Premier League fans will want to hear.
The clubs chasing the Moroccan international have now been handed a massive boost in the prospects of getting a deal agreed with the French club.
One of our bar staff was having a chat with Guardian journo, Ed Aarons, who came in for some lunch this afternoon who told him that Lille had in fact lowered their asking price.
The 22-year-old, rated at around £2om (about €23m), could now be available to suitors for less that €20m, which – even after that pesky Brexit – translates to around £16.7m, peanuts really considering the mammoth spending this summer!

However, our Landlord pointed out that yet another Premier League club had joined the race for the attacking midfielder, and they are very serious about it.
According to reports in the Express, Watford have gone ahead and slapped a £16.7m bid on the table in an attempt to gazump rivals and bring him to North London.
So, where is he going to go? Opinion is divided in the Tavern this afternoon, with many saying Boufal will hold out for a top club! What do you think? Let us know below…
