A major talking point in the Transfer Tavern this season has been the rise of former non-league aces into Premier League stars and a new name is being touted to follow in the footsteps of Jamie Vardy.
The Sun says Lewes forward Charlie Coppola, who is being chased by Premier League leaders Leicester City, has emerged as a target for Arsenal, Chelsea and Manchester United.
16-year-old striker Coppola, who can also play out-wide, has made seven first-team appearances for the non-league side this season and impressed Leicester earlier in the season when he underwent a trial with the Foxes.
However, Claudio Ranieri’s side face a stern test to land the signature of the talented schoolboy as the elite clubs in the Premier League have been alerted to Coppola’s abilities and are ready to rival Leicester in the hunt.
Our landlord reckons the youngster should pick Leicester due to their history of promoting youth players into the first-team immediately, although Arsenal would also be a good option.
Which club should this young talent join? Let us know in the comments below!
