Now Neil McLeman from The Mirror is reporting to punters that AC Milan are ready to sell Balotelli with Chelsea and Arsenal both interested.
The Italian international, who caused headlines on and off the pitch during his spell with Manchester City, was attacked after a poor performance in Milan’s 5-1 aggregate defeat to Atletico Madrid in their Champions League tie earlier this week.
Clarence Seedorf’s side are now likely to miss out on European football altogether next term, with the Dutch legend team situated in 10th place in Serie A.
Italian reports now indicate that the San Siro-based team will look to freshen up their squad in the summer and Balotelli could be one of the major victims of the clear out.
It is news that has been met with some doubt by punters in the tavern as Balotelli has done well since returning to Italy last January and must surely be regarded as one Milan’s finest players.
Both Arsenal and Chelsea are thought to hold an interest in the 21-year-old and could be stirred into action by this latest speculation.
Former Milan coach Arrigo Sacchi said: “This is not a team. They do not defend collectively and this just highlights the limitations of every individual player.
“In attack they have many soloists, but the style of football has no logic to it.”
