Arsenal and Chelsea striker target to cost £35m

batshuayi-twee-jaar-langer-bij-standard-id4182773-1000x800-nArsenal and Chelsea fans in the Transfer Tavern are debating whether their club should continue pursuing one of their top targets, after being quoted an astronomical price for the player’s services.

TalkSport bring the news from the continent, with Marseille demanding £35m for the services of Belgian hitman Michy Batshuayi.

22-year-old Batshuayi is rated as one of the most highly-rated strikers in world football and Marseille Vincent Labrune has commented on the vast interest in the player, although stating he will not be sold on the cheap.

“There is not a single top 15 world club that is not interested in Batshuayi. He is one of the most wanted players on the market. There were a lot of offers for him this summer but he did not want to leave.”

“He is proving himself on the pitch. And if clubs want him they will have to pay up- around €50m!”

Our fans in the bar rate Batshuayi very highly but are debating whether he is truly worth such an astronomical figure, though they are concerned any delay could see them miss out on his signature entirely.

Will Chelsea or Arsenal capture Batshuayi? Is he worth this much? Let us know in the comments below!
