Arsenal and Liverpool fans in the Football Transfer Tavern are hit with a devastating blow heading into the summer after talkSPORT revealed that Lyon’s impressive marksman Alexandre Lacazette is not available.
It has been considered that both Premier League clubs were banking on signing the 23-year-old following his superb performances in Ligue 1.
He has netted a staggering 21 goals in the league and this prolific form is something that both sides have missed out on this season.
The Gunners and the Reds have not made their heavy interest a secret as they have had scouts attending Lyon games throughout the season.
But Lyon’s president, Jean-Michel Aulas, has looked to stop each club in their tracks by saying he is not available.
“Alexandre is not for sale. He is part of the generation of players we want to take to the new stadium,” Aulas told beIN Sports.
“He will not be for sale and he will not leave.”
