Arsenal and Liverpool fans in the Transfer Tavern have been debating which of their sides are better suited to a gifted international midfielder, amid reports that they’re fighting for his signature.
FourFourTwo state Borussia Monchengladbach have confirmed former Arsenal youngster Havard Nordtveit is set to return to English football this summer, where the Gunners are fighting Liverpool for his signing.
Nordtveit, who left Arsenal in 2010, has elected not to sign a contract extension in Gladbach and he will return to England this summer, where a third Premier League side, West Ham, are believed to be leading the chase.
Already available to discuss a pre-contractual agreement, a confirmation on where Nordtveit is heading could emerge before the end of the current season and West Ham, set to move into their new Olympic Stadium home, will be optimistic of completing a deal.
Arsenal’s links with the player could well prove decisive those, as could Jurgen Klopp’s influence within German football, so our landlord reckons this will be a close race.
Arsenal fans, did you make a mistake letting Nordtveit go? Let us know in the comments below!
