Fans of the Premier League have been watching Serie A with interest since the winter transfer window and we here at the Football Transfer Tavern have been no different. Whilst that may have been because of Mario Balotelli, it seems the Daily Express claim that another AC Milan could well be making a switch to England in the other direction.
Stephan El Shaarawy has been sensational for the Rossoneri this season and was the main man before Balotelli arrived and took all the limelight. Even now, the young player has shone for both club and country and is fast on his way to becoming a player worthy of most people’s dream teams.
Now it is little wonder that both Manchester City and Arsenal are sniffing round the player who has netted 18 goals this season in a Milan side that struggled massively before the January break. Napoli are also believed to be in the race for the player yet it seems that AC Milan are set on building back a team of great young players and not selling them all off.
The club do not have to sell for financial reasons and seem set to reject all bids in the summer for the player who has claimed he is more than settled at the San Siro and has formed a wonderful partnership with international team-mate and friend Balotelli.
Is there any hope for Arsenal and Man City in landing the Italian? Let us know your thoughts below.
