Arsenal and Tottenham could be set to battle it out for in-demand £16.2m-rated midfielder

The Arsenal and Tottenham fans in the Transfer Tavern are always going back and forth, debating which side is better…

One of the most famous rivalries in the Premier League, the battles between the two North London teams have led to so many memorable moments on the field, and now it appears as though their rivalry is going to extend to matters off the field too.

More specifically, it could lead them into a transfer battle for one of Europe’s most talented players. According to Transfer Market Web, Arsenal have joined the likes of Tottenham in the hunt for Borussia Dortmund winger Christian Pulisic.

Liverpool and Real Madrid are also said to be in the race, and whilst any move for the American will be tough to come by, there is no doubting that he would be a massive asset for the Premier League.

Rated at £16.2 million by Transfer Markt, Pulisic began to make his name last season with a number of fantastic performances in the Bundesliga, and he has continued in that vein this season.

At 19-years-old, he’s a player that looks set to get even better as time goes on, and with his performances already earning a lot of attention in the Transfer Tavern, there is no doubting how far he could go.

With so much potential, our landlord thinks he would be perfect in the Premier League.

Landlord’s Verdict

A move for Pulisic will be very tough to come by. Borussia Dortmund are likely to refuse a number anywhere near his market value, with teams likely needing to pay up to and beyond the £100 million mark for him – especially considering the recent sale of Ousmane Dembele.

That said, both Arsenal and Tottenham, in particular, are desperate for a few more landmark names as they look to push to the top of the table, and the American would provide that level of quality.
