It’s ticking down to the final few hours of the transfer window and Arsenal are trying to complete a few deals before the window closes.

Although the club signed Mattéo Guendouzi and Lucas Torreira to bolster their midfield options, the club are apparently keen add a few players before the window closes.

Granit Xhaka has been inconsistent at best, while Aaron Ramsey’s future at the club seems uncertain.

Arsenal had been heavily linked with a move for Steven N’Zonzi but any move for the Frenchman seems off.

Unai Emery seems keen to have a host of midfield options, and with that in mind, according to Dagbladet, via the Metro, Arsenal are reportedly interested in signing Norway international, Sander Berge.

According to the report, the player’s agent is in England in order to complete a move before the deadline.

The Breakdown

Tottenham are also interested in the 20-year-old midfielder who currently plays for Belgian side, Genk.

After a few injuries last year, Berge only managed to play 12 games in the league.

Capable of picking the ball up from the back and driving forward, Berge is a dynamic defensive midfielder and could give Arsenal a bit more drive-in midfield.

However, with the transfer window ticking down, Arsenal should be looking more towards bringing another winger.

With Lucas Perez now at West Ham, Emery could do with a direct and pacey winger to add to the attack. While Berge could turn out to be a top player, Arsenal should be targeting a forward, not another defender.
