Arsenal fans in the Transfer Tavern are delighted to have another reason to mock their Chelsea counterparts, as it appears one of their newest recruits snubbed Stamford Bridge in favour of the Emirates.
Despite the Blues beating Arsenal last month, Jose Mourinho’s side haven’t had too much to be cheerful about after just eight points from their opening eight games of the season – which has been superb for business at the bar, as Chelsea supporters sink their sorrows.
That could continue in the future as Sports Witness cite claims that declare Jeff Reine-Adelaide rejected a move to Chelsea in order to move to Arsenal over the summer, as Arsene Wenger’s side secured an impressive double-deal for two excelling youngsters.
Reine-Adelaide is yet to make a senior appearance for Arsenal but impressed in pre-season against Wolfsburg, whilst he earned a spot in the squads for the Premier League and Champions League campaigns this season.
How big a deal this is remains to be seen but it’s always nice to hear a player has snubbed one of your biggest rivals.
Arsenal fans, how big a star can Reine-Adelaide be? Let us know in the comments below!
