Arsenal board make unpopular decision ahead of next season

wengerwengerArsenal fans in the Transfer Tavern haven’t been in the best mood for the past few weeks, although there was a breath of relief after their narrow win against Norwich City on Saturday as they kept up the push for a top four finish.

However, all the supporters are aware that major changes are required for their side to be competitive next season and plenty have slammed down their drinks on this Bank Holiday after hearing the latest news filtering out of their club.

The Telegraph says that Arsenal will honour the remainder of Arsene Wenger’s contract, which runs until 2017, and will not make the decision to axe the long-serving manager from his post.

Wenger celebrates 20-years in charge of Arsenal this summer but after 12 years without a title, and ten years since they reached a European final, many believe Wenger has lost his touch, especially after a cataclysmic campaign this season.

Fortunately for the fans that do want a change, should Wenger stay then next season is likely to be his last before calling time on his management career.

Arsenal fans, does Wenger need to go this summer? Let us know in the comments below!
