The Arsenal supporting punters here in the Transfer Tavern have been a disgruntled bunch lately and the tears have been flowing into their pint pots pretty frequently, following their recent slump in form.
Many of the Gunners faithful are losing faith with boss Arsene Wenger and would like to see him replaced as the club’s boss at the end of the season.
According to the Daily Mirror however, the French manager, who is the longest serving in English football, believes that he still retains the backing of the board and claims he will get to decide when the time is right to depart the Emirates Stadium.
Wenger does concede in the article that he is concerned that the anger among the fans could be in danger of affecting the players and their performances.
One Gunners fan is playing pool with his pals in the Tavern, when he admits Wenger is under serious pressure but he doesn’t think the club will sack him and is in agreement that the boss will be allowed to choose when he leaves the club.
