Arsenal boss CONFIRMS Frenchman will return to Emirates Stadium

Thierry HenryArsenal fans in the Football Transfer Tavern are excited by the news in The Mirror where Arsene Wenger has said that Thierry Henry will return to the club one day.

The Gunners club legend announced that he was leaving New York Red Bulls on Monday and it has sparked rumours as to where his future lies but Wenger has said that his old superstar will return to the club.

The French tactician is convinced that Henry will come back to the Emirates Stadium as it expected that he will retire from football after playing his final match for New York Red Bulls.

It is thought that he will move into coaching and this where Wenger – who handed him his debut at Monaco – believes he will be reunited with his talisman.

Wenger said: “He is an Arsenal man. The best moments of his life and certainly is career have been experienced here and certainly one day he will come back here. In what kind of role I don’t know, that’s what he has to think about – what kind of direction he wants.

“He has all the qualities because he is intelligent, committed and loves the game. He has to think ‘do I want to sacrifice all the rest of my life to being involved in that job.

“Thierry has come out and said he wants to reflect on how he wants to go into his next life.

“I gave him his start at the age of 17 in Monaco, he is now 37, so he had 20 years of competitive football and that deserves huge respect and congratulation, not only for what he has achieved but for his exemplary attitude and focus on football.”
