The Arsenal fans in the Transfer Tavern were concerned when Laurent Koscielny went off injured against Bayern Munich on Wednesday night…
Little did they know that his departure would be the precursor to a collapse from the Gunners, with a second-half capitulation occurring in Munich.
Now, the result was certainly a disappointing one for the Gunners – but many in the Tavern have also spent the last 24 hours wondering whether Koscielny could be set for a long-term injury layoff, too.
Now, Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger has provided fans with a key update on Koscielny’s condition – and the news is rather inconclusive.
As confirmed by Wenger, via Sky Sports on Twitter, Koscielny is set to undergo a scan on the injury – with the Arsenal brass seemingly unsure on the extent of the problem as of yet.

The good news for the Arsenal fans in the pub is that, as of yet, there is no confirmation that he will be out for an extended period of time. For all we know, the scan could come back and there be no major issue – but the uncertainty is certainly concerning the Arsenal fans in the Tavern.
Our landlord thinks that a Koscielny injury could be a big problem for the Gunners – given just how vital he has been this year. He has played 24 Premier League games this season, scoring 2 goals along the way.
