Arsenal fans are looking slightly uneasy here in the Football Transfer Tavern, and the latest claim from the Daily Star is not helping.
The publication seem to think that Gunners manager Arsene Wenger is willing to drop goalkeeper Wojciech Szczesny after the weekend mauling by Chelsea.
The Gunners of course saw their title hopes absolutely ripped to smithereens after Chelsea demolished them on Saturday and whilst some of our top shelf tequila certainly sold out, our punters made the point that someone has to pay for the loss.
Losing 1-0 may be just about acceptable but to let in six goals, even with ten men, is not something our punters are comfortable with and neither it seems is Arsene Wenger, who is preparing to drop his first choice keeper for tomorrow nights fixture against Swansea City. Fellow Pole, Lukasz Fabianski is expected to step in.
Our landlord moves towards the pool table to note that this once again brings up questions over the long-term future of the Polish international, with Wenger previously having concerns over his ability to be the main man between the posts.
The keeper was at fault for at least two of the goals in the defeat and has not impressed his manager and coaches by showing a distinctly cocky nature in the past.
Will the king of selfies find he has to take them from the bench? Let us know your thoughts below.
