Arsenal fans in the Football Transfer Tavern are thinking about what will happen to their ageing midfielders after the Daily Mirror revealed Arsene Wenger is to hold talks with Tomas Rosicky and Mathieu Flamini over their Arsenal futures.
The Gunners are not far from having a title challenging team and it is important that Wenger keeps hold of the right players as well as offloading players to raise funds.
This leaves Rosicky, 34, who has been a great servant for the club and he will be available in the summer as a free transfer, which would see the end of his nine year stay with the Gunners.
Whilst Flamini, who is 31 years old, has had strong link with the club after his first spell in 2004 but he left for AC Milan in 2008.
But then returned after his five year spell in Italy in 2013 and has since been a bit part player for the club.
Another veteran in midfield, Mikel Arteta, is another player whose future has come in to question, but it is believed he has signed a one year extension, even though the club have not announced it yet.
