The player in question is Paris Saint-Germain midfielder Adrien Rabiot and according to the Daily Star, they could get him on the cheap.
That is because the young Frenchman is into the last year of his deal and the Parisian outfit could potentially lose him on a free transfer this time next year.
The Ligue 1 champions have reportedly touted around a figure of £20 million when rumoured parties began to register their interest.
However it now appears that Laurent Blanc’s side could slash that by more than half as they try and take whatever cash they can for the midfielder.
They had been keen on renewing his contract but it seems that Rabiot is unlikely to agree new terms at the Parc Des Princes before the transfer window shuts.
This all means that Arsenal could now turn to the midfielder, especially as it seems that deals for Southampton’s Morgan Schneiderlin and Real Madrid’s Sami Khedira are now dead in the water.
