West Ham United supporters who have been on the all-day session here in the Transfer Tavern have been pretty underwhelmed with the small pieces of incoming business to the club completed weeks ago.
With the clock ticking towards the end of the window one Hammers fan who is lining-up the shots on the bar has spotted an article in The Metro that has confirmed that Carl Jenkinson has returned to parent club Arsenal following his recent injury.
The defender suffered a serious knee injury earlier in January and the player will now return to the Emirates Stadium to begin rehabilitation, with it expected he’s out until the end of the season.
One West Ham fan is putting some late night tunes on the Tavern’s jukebox and thinks the club do not need to try to sign Jenkinson next season following the arrival of Sam Byram who joined from Leeds United earlier this month.
West Ham fans… How was the on-loan Arsenal man playing before his injury? Gooners, does the player have a future at the Emirates? Let us know in the comments below!
