Finally, it was a respite for the Gunners fans, as Theo Walcott was declared and is all set for a return to the Arsenal lineup. The young and energetic striker has always found his place in Wenger’s plan and Wenger would be delighted to have Walcott’s services once the Premier league resumes after the international break. According to reports, Walcott would be fit enough to play in the away fixture against Manchester City.
Theo Walcott has always been highly considered amongst Arsenal players and Wenger’s disappointment was very normal when Walcott had an injured back right from the start of this season. However, Wenger would love to have Walcott in the starting lineup against Manchester City, if he regains his fitness, one question though would be, who to drop? Arsenal has played excellent football right from the start of this season apart from the last encounter against Manchester United, which they should have won, had they played some sensible football. Some of the best football, it obviously would be a tough for the Arsenal manager to induct Walcott into his current plans. If Walcott does get a chance to play, it is time he starts to prove his critics wrong, as he has repeatedly failed to match the expectations of thousands of fans. According to Wenger though, he is a young player and would soon become one of the lethal strikers of the game. However, Mr. Wenger, can you tell us, how many more years do we need to wait?
