Arsenal can land top target on the cheap with transfer sacrifice

Mario BalotelliAC Milan have certainly raised eyebrows here in the Football Transfer Tavern and after we hear what Metro are claiming we are even more surprised.

The Serie A side are reportedly willing to slash the £27 million fee Arsenal would have to pay for Mario Balotelli as long as the Gunners offer rising Costa Rican international star Joel Campbell to them.

Now as we have noted, Campbell had an impressive season last term on loan at Olympiakos and it looks like it will get even better for him after the World Cup.

Italy are better placed than most to see just how good the star is, given he is in their group along with England.

We are sure that Arsene Wenger would bring him back to North London next season and offer him a chance at breaking through into the first team.

However, should AC Milan get their way, Campbell would be on his way to the San Siro with Balotelli going in the opposite direction.

Arsenal fans. Is this a good deal or would you rather see Campbell mature and break though at the club? Let us know your thoughts below.
