Arsenal career over? The Gunners player most likely to be sold by Arsene Wenger this summer

Arsenal are once again under the spotlight, as is manager Arsene Wenger, following a miserable League Cup final defeat to Manchester City and what appeared to be a lack of desire from some of the Gunners players at Wembley.

The Emirates club had been looking on the up prior to the game in the capital, but once again the same questions were asked of the team, defensively, as well as going forward, as City simply had their way with the Gunners and completely outplayed them across the pitch.

In what has been a bitterly cold week here in the Tavern, some of our Arsenal fans have still been coming in to enjoy a few pints with our landlord, and a lot of the footy talk this week has turned to the summer and just what we might see in terms of incomings and outgoings for the Gunners.

One player’s name who kept getting mentioned was former Man United striker Danny Welbeck, who has had a wretched season owing to numerous injuries and just doesn’t seem to be able to get going under Wenger.

His form when he has been fit has, at times, been excellent, but there comes a time when the pacey forward might think enough is enough, and that could well be this summer.

Plenty of clubs will want to take a punt on Welbeck if he is to leave, and if he can move clubs and get back into the groove, then someone will indeed have a top Premier League striker on their hands.

Arsenal fans, what do you think? Will Welbeck leave? Let us know in the comments!
