The Football Transfer Tavern has been a hive of transfer activity today and another name mentioned during the heated debate is that of Ghanaian midfielder Afriyie Acquah who has been linked with a move to Arsenal.
The 20-year-old has been capped twice by his national team and he is currently impressing during a season long loan at Serie A outfit Parma from parent club Palermo. Billed as the ‘next Michael Essien by the former director of Palermo, he has gained plaudits for his consistent performances for the Italian side during this season.
The £8 million rated youngster is likely to feature for the Black Stars during the upcoming African Nations Cup and The Sun reported Wenger is keeping an eye on his progress with the view to a possible move for the tenacious defensive midfielder in January.
Acquah certainly looks to have a promising future ahead of him and he is another player to watc -out for at the African Cup of Nations that kicks off in the new year.
