Sky Sports have the majority of our punters here in the Football Transfer Tavern looking up with huge interest as they claim that no less than THREE top Premier League clubs are chasing after West Ham United starlet Reece Oxford.
The 15-year-old is seeing his reputation skyrocket and it seems that if West Ham and Sam Allardyce cannot convince the starlet to commit his long-term professional future to the Hammers, there are a fair few others who think they can, waiting in the wings.
Our punters seem to think that out of Manchester United, Chelsea and Arsenal, we would certainly recommend Arsenal as the club for a young, rising star to join – given Arsene Wenger is always willing to give young stars a chance.
We certainly think that he would struggle to get into Chelsea’s first team so quickly and given how good their reserves are, not to mention the fact that they are always bringing in fresh faces, Oxford would certainly struggle.
The general consensus seems to be that Oxford needs to carry on developing where he is at the minute, especially given West Ham have developed a huge amount of young talent in the past.
West Ham fans. Can you keep Oxford at the club or will a bigger side come in and land him from under your noses? Let us know your thoughts below.
