There is drama here in the Football Transfer Tavern at the latest article from the Daily Mail who claim that Arsenal could well be in with a good chance of landing Gonzalo Higuain this summer.
The forward is set to hold talks with Real Madrid at the end of next week according to Spanish publication Marca and could well be put up for sale by the club who are looking for around 25 million euros for the forward. Both Real and Pipta are keen to reach an amicable agreement that will see the player leave this summer. Higuain of course tried to leave last summer only to be convinced to stay by former manager Jose Mourinho yet now looks to be off.
For a player who thrives on the love of a crowd to be cat called by the Los Blancos faithful was not something the player took well too and that was a major factor in his decision to leave. Both Arsenal and Juventus are battling it out for his signature and Juve did look like early front runners, yet not Arsenal have entered the race and according to some of the Spanish press, are already in talks with the player and his representatives.
