Arsenal fans in the Transfer Tavern enjoyed a thrilling final day of the Premier League as they beat Tottenham to second position but it hasn’t erased their demands for wholesale changes this summer and transfer talk continues to be on the agenda.
A new name has appeared on their wish-list today, as The Daily Record states Arsenal are considering making a £10m swoop for Celtic full-back Kieran Tierney, with the 18-year-old proving himself as one of the most exciting prospects in Scottish football.
Arsenal face a wealth of competition in the hunt for the talented full-back, with a host of English sides interested, whilst Celtic themselves are keen to secure their teenage star down to an extended deal this summer.
Arsene Wenger will be keen to improve his defensive ranks this summer and Tierney would be a quality understudy to veteran left-back Nacho Monreal, who’s likely to have only a few seasons left in north London.
Our landlord believes that Tierney would be a quality addition for the Gunners and that with Hector Bellerin on the opposite flank, Arsenal would have their full-back areas sorted for the next decade.
Arsenal fans, do you want to see Tierney at the Emirates? Let us know in the comments below!
