The Football Transfer Tavern is hive of activity this evening as punters look to discover the latest transfer gossip during their after work pints.
One of the stories that takes our eye is from The Sun who report that Arsenal are one of several clubs considering a summer swoop for Manchester City defender Micah Richards.
The paper suggests that the Citizens are planning to let their longest-serving player leave for around £8 million in the post season, with only one year left on his current deal at the Etihad Stadium.
This has seen Arsene Wenger reportedly eyeing the 25-year-old enforcer as he seeks to reinforce his back line. Bacary Sagna is set to depart when his contract expires in June and Richards could prove a suitable addition to the Gunners outfit.
It is understood in the tavern that there is also interest from Liverpool, who saw a loan offer knocked back for Richards during deadline day of the recent transfer window.
While Galatasaray manager Roberto Mancini is also considering to raid his former club to land Richards, who has struggled to gain playing time in front of the excellent Pablo Zabaleta at the Etihad.
We would be surprised if City let him join another of their Premier League rivals, but it certainly seems that Richards’ future with City looks uncertain.
Can you see Micah heading to another Premier League side in the summer? Let us know your thoughts below.
