Arsenal considering potent attacker as scouts jet off on transfer mission – report

The Arsenal fans in the Transfer Tavern are expecting to see some real progress this season…

The Gunners suffered through a torrid campaign last season, and after a poor start to the season, they look to be finally turning a corner in the Premier League.

A top-four finish is being demanded by the fans in the Transfer Tavern, and beyond that, they’re expecting their side to return to the top of the Premier League.

Clearly, then, with such lofty ambitions, Arsenal will need to spend fruitfully as they look to rebuild the team, and according to the Daily Mail, they could be looking to do just that.

The Daily Mail reports that Arsenal have had scouts in attendance to watch PSV winger Hirving Lonzano recently, with the Gunners said to be contemplating a move for him. A move of around £20 million is said to be enough to seal a deal, and so it’s certainly a deal that is affordable for Arsenal.

He has enjoyed a stellar start to the season, bagging 6 goals and assisting his teammates a further 2 times.

Offering excellent dribbling, crossing and technical ability – whilst also improving his goalscoring ability – Lonzano is clearly a top player, and with Arsenal needing more offensive depth, a move does make sense.

Landlord’s Verdict

Given that the deal could be affordable, it’s a move that Arsenal should be able to complete if they choose to make their move.

He’s clearly a top player, and he’d provide a real attacking edge to a side that has lacked that in recent weeks. Arsenal will no doubt have more than one option to consider, but he’s certainly a decent choice.
