Arsenal could look to sign 28-goal forward as Wenger’s summer plans take shape

The Arsenal fans in the Transfer Tavern want Arsene Wenger to make some big signings this summer…

The Gunners were way off the pace in the Premier League during the 2016/17 season, and whilst the campaign ended with FA Cup glory, there is much work to be done at the Emirates.

It appears as though Arsene Wenger is getting an early start on his summer plans, though, much to the joy of the fans in the pub, and it is said that he has sounded out a number of players for a potential summer move. One such player, according to the Evening Standard, is Alexandre Lacazette, who has been prolific in Ligue 1 this season. Crucially, Lacazette is just one of a number of players being considered, but there is no doubting what he would bring to the fold at the Emirates.

He has been in lethal form in Ligue 1 this year, picking up an astonishing 28 goals in the French top flight, firing his way into the minds of the fans in the Transfer Tavern. In truth, our landlord is shocked that he still hasn’t been signed by a top side.

This is, seemingly, where Arsenal want to come in, and there is certainly a need for him. Olivier Giroud has struggled from the start this season, whilst Danny Welbeck cannot be relied upon given his injury record. Lacazette, then, would be a worthy acquisition.
